This is the first day of SUMMER? It's only in the 60's as it has been most of the spring, but now winter is on it's way!!!!!

No backpacking this weekend flash flood warnings cuz of all the rain. Not sure how much we got last night but it rained all day and most of the night. We'll see about hiking on Sunday?

We did get hiking on Sunday, in the Black Forest with the Alpine Club. We found a total of 15 rattle snakes. Spent about a half hour there watching then. I have only seen two rattle snakes before, so this was a treat. I took a few photos to post on our site but didn't get them up yet.
Getting very warm out, soon may have to turn the AC on. But, I'll try to hold off as long as possible.
Now, to bed I go!

Getting around and soon off for the BlackForest Trail to do a hike. Where going to stop for breakfast first. Not sure how long the hike is going to be? But, we have a birthday party to go to as soon as we get home. Hope there is still cake and ice cream left over!
Linux installed but not on line yet. I'll talk with Jim tomorrow on the hike we are going on in the morning. The next thing I need to do is set up the hard drive switcher. I may try it tomorrow, but the hard drive I have Linux on has two jumpers on it. New hard drives have only one so I'll have to see how it will work. I'm looking for to receiving the book I ordered from Amazon.

Next is going to be Windows 95 that I'll install on to a small drive. I also want to get my Windows 98 SE runnig again too. And if my sister get a new computer, I''ll see if I can get her old one and use it to run two more operating system.

I was up till three AM last night installing Red Hat 8 on a small hard drive I picked up. It wasn't till the third time I was able to get the second dics to load. But, it's installed and running. With one problem, I can't get the OS to run the modem? I'll have to get the hard drive switcher set up and play with it some more. I, also ordered the Red Hat hand book from Amazon it to comes with the Red Hat CD's v8. So, I hope I'll be able to use Red Hats tech support. As it is now I don't think I'm able to because the CD's I used to install it where copies and not originals from Red Hat Linux OS company. If I find a nuber I'll try to call and see if I can get a hand with the modem set up.

We be getting a new tool kit for I web site and will I hope be in and running around July 11, 03. Check and see often for the up coming changes.

Over the weekend we were hiking the Northern Central Railroad Trail in Maryland. Which is a twenty mile trial, the trail continues into PA for another twenty or so miles. This section we'll do on bike, riding from Maryland state line to York, PA. Also, on this trip we talked about going to Colorado and New Mexico to climb the highest peak of each state.
Mt. Elbert at14433 ft and Wheeler Peak at 13,161 ft. This will be in 2004.

Plus, I'm going to try to put together a trip for Washington state to climb Mt. Rainier at 14,410 ft, in 2005? :)
